A label offshoot of Convincing Woodgrain Publishing (ASCAP), Convincing Woodgrain Records was founded in 2005 to manage the catalog of former Transistor Recordings Artists, Aubergine 3, as well as that of Soulphonic Soundsystem and the back catalog of founder Chauncey Canfield.

Their combined discography (plus remix efforts) covers a lot of territory, exploring live electronic funk, dance-infused house samba rhythms, spaced-out afro-jazz, downtempo, blunted nu-jazz, brokenbeat and more. In addition to commercial releases, tracks from CW artists have been used for television, Major Motion Picture, videos and licensed for compilations worldwide.
